The inspiration for my work comes from classical art probably as a consequence of many visits to the Royal Academy in London during mychildhood and teens.
Oil paint and canvas are my preferred materials and with that I mostly seem to paint women. It seems to be what I need to do as an artist. It is especially pleasing if other people appreciate what I do.
I aspire to represent the spiritual mood of my subjects through their poses, through their eyes! The viewer is to be drawn in to make their own interpretation.
At the moment I have not felt the urge to sell my art but instead have chosen to use artsandus web site as a vieving gallery. All are oils painted on canvas frame.
